Its just fresh Buying Happening in the Market, for NY traders to enter with fresh new money as starting of the month, and for traders to be back from Holidays.

Gold did come around 634.50 level from 638 level, but pushed higher now at 640 level (Do you remember this level) - Main Resistance and Support levels.
