Dollar little stabilized During Trichets Q&A

0 Comments for:

The dollar's fall has stabilized a little as ECB President Trichet fields a Q&A session, recovering very modestly against the euro and yen.
The greenback had dropped after Trichet said more rate hikes will be warranted if the central bank's scenario is confirmed, and that the central bank will "continue to monitor very closely" the risk to price stability.
Though the euro broke the $1.2830 mark, it has fallen back to $1.2819. Investors had been awaiting Trichet's comments, which are still ongoing, to begin selling dollars as the ECB's decision to hike its benchmark rate 25 bps to 3.00%, was widely expected.
